I build and look after software that holds up in the real world. I like to keep things simple and write code that's easy to read.

These days I work mostly in TypeScript: serverless services on Cloudflare Workers and AWS Lambda, event streams on Kafka with Confluent Cloud, and data in BigQuery. A lot of that is API work, from writing specs to building integrations.

Outside of work, I like reading good books and articles on life, nature, science, and almost anything about computers.
